Well-functioning Video Management Software (VMS) is important to get a clear overview of what is happening within your building. This is mainly done by using all the CCTV cameras that are connected to the system, and displaying them in a user-friendly manner within the GUI of Sky-Walker. Read more below for more information.
What is Video Management Software?
A vms (video management software) is a system in a platform capable of connecting all the cameras present in an infrastructure. This system captures cctv footage and displays it on the monitors and the video wall of a control room. From a more technical stand point, it is an open platform which will connect and collect camera footage within the same software. Thanks to an efficient vms cctv, the operators will be able to manage your video surveillance systems correctly. An operator is able to look at different video sequences from each camera. He/she is also able to record video sequences and view live video streams. Operators will therefore be able to detect incidents instantly.
There are additional features on some cameras such as integrated video processing. These features can also be integrated into the vms platform so that you only have to adjust it in vms cctv. Even more advanced features on cameras such as motion detection and video analysis can be integrated into the platform.

Indeed, safety in a building is one of the most important elements and it is essential to be able to make improvements to improve the results of the actions.
What does our Sky-Walker VMS platform look like?
The video management software is mainly composed of 2 screens. On the first screen, you have the visualization of your building with the floors and video surveillance systems represented as icons. In the event of an alarm, an alarm stamp will be highlighted and will allow you to carry out the investigation.
On the second screen, you have the possibility of visualizing in real time the images sent by your system of cctv. Indeed, depending on the cameras selected, you will be able to display up to 4 camera images on the interface. The time and date are also present on the images in order to have all the information available in case of incidents.
Both interfaces of the two screens are 100% customisable, whether it is the fire cctv systems with their icons, the number of buildings and floors, the manual or automatic processes, the number of cameras, etc...
