What is the Web Client?

The web client is a software (or application) that can be used via the web. The user will connect to the software (for example a hypervision software) via a web browser by entering his login and password and will use the user interface to take full advantage of the software's features.

The web server plays a very important role in the web architecture as it is the server that will store the software information and transmit it directly to the user; this information will be visible directly on the graphical interface. The web client is therefore a "window" which allows all the information from the server to be viewed.

The web client might be the best way to manage your users

Operators will process various events from the subsystems (video surveillance, access control, intrusion, fire, etc.) such as camera failure, access error, intrusion, fire detected and many others directly on the client user interface.

Even if the operators are not behind their workstations, the events can be managed remotely!

The managers will be able to control the operations carried out by the operators and have a global view of them. Their role is therefore more to manage the rights of the operators. At any time the managers can modify the rights and add or delete a user.

What is the use of the web client in hypervision or PSIM?

The operator handling an incoming alarm is often responsible for checking for any potential dangerous or stressful situations. In the past, the operator would have had to leave his office and thus the Sky-Walker client. Now, the operator has access to the web client while walking around via the client user interface. Intuitive and easy to use, the operator will be able to perform all the operations he wants in one click!

Let's take the example of an operator who receives an intrusion alert in a floor. The operator who is not at his skywalker station will be able to get live feedback about the intrusion on his tablet which is connected to the intrusion server. He will be able to manage the incident intuitively thanks to an adapted interface and quickly thanks to the optimal feedback

For managers, the web client also adds value to their decision-making capabilities, as tracking their operators is easy and intuitive via the web client. Indeed, managers will be able to have a real time view of the actions carried out by the operator.
