What is a fire detection system integration?
In almost every modern-day building, the presence of a fire detection system is requested. Fire detection is one of the most important safety related systems, as its job is to make sure that the potential threat of a fire is noticed and handled as soon as possible. Once a potential fire is detected, the predefined incident management measures can be implemented. They include the evacuation plan, the call to the nearest fire brigade if needed, the actuation of the sprinklers, etc.
Most fire installations consist of the following components:
- smoke detectors,
- heat detectors,
- duct detectors,
- manual pull stations,
- beam detectors,
- interface units,
- strobes, and
- sounders.

You will finally have a central tool that shows and manages all your Fire Detection systems with only a click of the button.
Quick notification of emergency instances
The fire brigade, police, ambulances and so on can be easily notified in case of an alarm. Instead of having to search for the contact details, they are automatically added to steps in the process to make sure that they are only a button click away at all time.
More efficient maintenance
By using our mobile client or web client, technical staff can use the floor plans and objects in Sky-Walker to easily find all the panels, detectors etc. and switch them off temporarily, test them and so on. This makes sure they are able to do their tasks more efficiently, resulting in lesser costs made for maintenance.
Fire detection system within Sky-Walker
The strength of our integration software platform Sky-Walker is to make separate systems work together. A fire detection system is perfectly capable of running on its own but by using it together with the other systems such as HVAC, lighting and access control, your organization is providing a more secure environment. For instance, in case of a fire alarm, all doors of the room can automatically be closed and automatically opened with the arrival of firefighters. This takes building management to whole new level.
We integrate all these different types of systems into one, intuitive and easy-to-use interface. Fire detection system and others are connected to the Ethernet either directly or via a converter to enable communication with the integration software Sky-Walker. Subsystems work intelligently and transmit information directly to Sky-Walker.
