CEO Miet Loix - The InspiringFifty Belgium 2022

November 14, 2022

Thirty years later...

That our CEO has nothing to prove anymore is well known. After putting a software company on the map and growing it for thirty years, Miet has proven her talent as well as her passion. Every day she stands strong in this branch dominated by men.

To put it mildly, she deserves a compliment. And which compliment can tell more than being awarded one of the fifty most inspiring Belgian women in tech?

What is this award?

InspiringFifty Belgium is a non-profit organisation which aims to increase women’s leadership positions in the technology sector. And their impact is widely visible. In the last few years, more and more women took leadership roles in big companies. Now more than ever, tech companies must support women to keep their roles rather than quit them due to hurdles like family pressure, as women tend to support more diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as mentor their teams, in comparison to their counterparts in their roles, creating a better culture and work experience.

No less than 173 female tech leaders were nominated this year. That Miet is part of the fifty most inspiring, is not something she expected. “It is an honour to receive this award. It is not something you schedule in your agenda when you wake up. Those 49 other honourable women… no easy shoes to fill. That I am part of that, really means a lot”, says Miet.

What will this recognition mean for the future of Entelec?

That Miet does not need awards or any other recognition to stay on track is something she made very clear in the last thirty years. This year, Entelec Control Systems celebrates its thirtieth birthday. Thirty years of gradually climbing the ladder, standing her ground in this male dominated branch, really brought something forward. With a new product feature released this year, The Incident Manager Web Application, she can end this year with pride.

Did you know?

Did you know Miet won two awards earlier in her career? Being awarded with the Livia-award twice, she already was a name entrenched in the list of Belgian tech women with top positions.

As for our proud team, we will keep on believing in the direction Miet gives this company and the wind she blows in our backs.
