Entelec's 30th Anniversary - A Look Back

November 14, 2022

Once upon a time...

Entelec Diepenbeek

1992 - The Birth of Entelec

I all started thirty years ago in 1992, when Miet Loix founded the company. Entelec Control Systems was born and on its way to become a success story. Only one year later, the first integration project was executed by Entelec. For a major airline, we connected their access-control system with a camera-security system and visualised the interaction on one platform. With only a limited number of staff members, the smaller version of Entelec really covered ground in the Belgian tech branch.

1997 - The Birth of Internal Development

In 1997, Entelec built her own R&D Department. As technology grew unexpectedly fast, so must Entelec. Starting a R&D Department enabled us to develop a customisation integration platform and to sell licenses abroad. It led to Sky-Walker, our highly recommended open integration software.

2006 - Entelec on the Global Map

CEO Miet Loix

In 2006, we took one risk and two big steps into the unknown. Entelec went global, and did that big. Starting in Scandinavia, the US, India and the Middle East, Entelec suddenly was no longer just a Belgian company. It was put on the global map, not least thanks to Miet Loix, whom won the Livia Award in that year. For both Entelec and Miet, 2006 was a special year.

2011 - International Expansion

Time went on very fast. And before we knew, our international expansion was a fact. The amount and size of projects increased, so did the turnover. There was a lot of work. In other words, the company was booming! This was the ideal time to open some local offices. Manchester, UK and Rotterdam, the Netherlands were our new foreign location. This enabled us to stand closer to our customers. Also, Miet received the second Livia award what came as a cherry on a cake.

2018 - Overarching International Structure

A little while later, Entelec expanded even more by opening a new office in Paris, France in 2018. Commercial staff were complemented by strong, technical support teams. Entelec was growing bigger, step by step. The time came to make some international changes in the company to overarch the international structure and keep an eye on the growth. By appointing an International Sales Manager and an International Projects Manager alongside the internalisation of our Marketing, our international expansion became clearly visible for everyone in and around Entelec Control Systems.

Today - Reshaping the World of Incident Management

Today, we celebrate. The cape of thirty years is not an everyday achievement. Our new product feature, The Incident Manager, will reshape the world of incident management as you know it in the near future. This proves our dedication, our passion and our competence. A promising song for the next thirty years to come.

Tomorrow...

So, now we stood still to have a glance at the past. It is time, once again, to turn round and look forward. To another thirty years of dedication and success. Another 30 years of Entelec Control Software.
