Unizo Livia Awards

Vanavond reikt Unizo de jaarlijkse Livia Award uit. Met deze award willen ze de focus leggen op vrouwelijke ondernemers in België. Dit jaar wordt de 15de award uitgereikt aan iemand die alle vrouwelijke ondernemers inspireert op allerlei domeinen: innovatie, creativiteit, diversiteit, milieubeleid, enz.


In 2006 won onze CEO, Miet Loix, de 2e Livia Award toen Entelec zijn eerste grote uitbreidingsgolf onderging. Ze werd genomineerd door verschillende collega's en uiteindelijk bekroond door een onafhankelijke jury, in de voetsporen van de nationale journaliste Phara De Aguirre. De award was een van de eerste die een vrouwelijke CEO die in de ICT-sector werkt, en de eerste voor ons bedrijf. Het was een grote verrassing voor Miet en het bedrijf toen, en tot op heden is het nog steeds iets om trots op te zijn.


"We richten ons meer op ons merk en product, in plaats van op de mensen die het bedrijf runnen", zei Miet in haar acceptatietoespraak. "Dus, ik was verbaasd om in de eerste plaats bekend te staan als een ondernemer. Toch ben ik erg dankbaar voor de erkenning van het werk dat we hebben gedaan." ~ Miet Loix, 2006
