Entelec made an appearance on Kanaal Z.

A couple of weeks ago, Entelec were given the opportunity to participate on the TV program “Alle Zaken Op Een Rijtje” which airs on Kanaal Z, in Belgium. This TV program has recently been created in order to promote the various entrepreneurial activities taking place in Belgium. Businesses coming from sectors such as the fashion industry, logistics or even the construction industry are brought forth. This time, it was Entelec’s turn to present ourselves and our PSIM software. Here’s a summary of what has been talked about.

Who we are at Entelec?

Entelec was created in 1992 and over the years, we have been able to develop a software platform which can integrate different technologies within buildings. We have created our own platform, Sky-Walker. Besides the development of software, we have a project and operation department who are responsible for integrating all the projects for our customers. The idea of the software is to create a dashboard for our customers which functions as a cockpit of an airplane so that our customers have an overview of what is happening in their buildings at all times, and that they can quickly react in case of an incident.

What is Sky-Walker?

Sky-Walker is a b2b software whereby all our clients and customers can monitor their various security systems through one platform. The system integrations include access control, safety control and building or comfort control. One of the main advantages of using our physical security information management system is that we as a company can connect our software to any external hardware supplier. The operators who are using our software are able to do more than just monitoring the system. They can also handle alarm procedures within our incident manager which is another integrated product within Sky-Walker. After successfully handling such an alarm, if necessary, they can download a report of this alarm and send it to third parties.

What are the advantages of using Sky-Walker?

The main advantage within Sky-Walker is the possibility to integrate security systems within large scale infrastructures. We work with governmental institutions such as railway or logistic companies as well as prisons where security is a very critical aspect of the organization.

Another added value of Sky-Walker is its flexibility. Today, our clients can modify or implement their own user-interface which gives them a very custom look and feel. We are true believers that this flexibility leads to better customer satisfaction.

What kind of certification do we have?

As of 2021, we have been certified ISO 27001.
The goal of having implemented this security management system is on one hand to protect all the data that we have from customers and employees in a safe way. On the other hand, it is to guarantee the continuity of our company in case some external incident happens, for instance, hacking our network.

How can we prevent the risk of cyber-attacks?

Based on a risk analysis conducted within Entelec, we have created internal company policies which are spread and communicated to all of our employees. It ensures that everyone is made aware of the sensitivity of data and information security.

All the sensitive data from our customers is stored in the cloud and protected with user ID and password in order to prevent unauthorized access. In addition to that, we also use a two step extra verification in order to allow people to do a confirmation before a transaction has taken place, for example via a mobile phone. Furthermore, to make sure that our software is running safely into the network of our customers, all the data that we communicate over the network within our software system is encrypted. Therefore, Entelec ensures its customers data security is safe and secure at all times.
