As a Field Service Engineer – Software & Integrated Systems, you ensure that systems at customers and partners continue to function reliably and optimally. You mainly perform preventive on-site maintenance visits with both end customers and integrators and installation partners in the Netherlands and Belgium.
During these visits, you check the performance of software and system environments, identify potential risks, and resolve technical issues before they impact the customer’s or partner’s operations.
You will travel frequently and be in direct contact with technical stakeholders across different organizations. This makes the role varied, independent, and technically challenging.
When you are not on-site, you support the support team with more complex technical issues. In this way, you act as an important link between customers, partners, support, and engineering.
About you
- You have a technical education (preferably a Bachelor’s degree in IT, electronics, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a technical support, maintenance, or service role.
- You have good knowledge of IT environments, software, and/or technical systems.
- You are strong in problem analysis and troubleshooting.
- You work independently, take initiative, and are structured in your approach.
- You are communicative, customer-oriented, and professional in your interactions.
- You are flexible and comfortable with frequent travel.
- You speak Dutch and English fluently; French is a plus.
- Preventive on-site maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance visits at end customers, integrators, and installation partners in the Netherlands and Belgium.
- Monitoring & troubleshooting: Check software and system environments, identify deviations, and resolve technical issues.
- 2nd line support: Support end customers and partners with more complex technical issues in collaboration with internal teams.
- Customer & partner communication: Communicate professionally with end customers, integrators, and distributors, manage expectations, and contribute to a high-quality service experience.
- Collaboration with support and partners: Work closely with the internal support team and coordinate technically with partner organizations.
- Documentation & feedback: Record maintenance activities, findings, and solutions, and provide feedback to internal teams to improve services.
- Knowledge development: Continuously build and deepen your knowledge of the Entelec platform and integrated systems.
