The Position
In order to further expand our business, we are looking for a Software Architect for our Belgian office in Diepenbeek, Belgium.

As a Software Architect, you won’t just write code, you’ll design the foundation that everything is built on. You’ll define how systems are structured, which technologies we use, and how we keep things secure, scalable, and future-ready. Your role is key to turning business goals into smart, technical solutions, helping development teams build high-quality software with confidence and clarity, not chaos. If you're passionate about clean architecture, smart decisions, and setting a strong direction for others to build on, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Your tasks and Responsibilities
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures that support current needs and future growth.
• Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and cloud platforms that align with business goals and technical requirements.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and review processes to ensure code quality and consistency across teams.
• Tune performance so systems run smoother than a triple-shot espresso on Monday morning.
• Optimize system performance and reliability, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to meet high availability and efficiency standards.
• Embed security best practices into system design and implementation, covering authentication, authorization, and data protection
• Act as the bridge between Development, Operations, DevOps, and Product Management — translating between code, business, and human-speak.
• Stay ahead of the curve, scouting emerging tech and frameworks that actually make a difference and drive innovation.
• Research and assess emerging technologies, introducing innovative solutions that provide real value and long-term benefits.
• Advocate for user-centric design, ensuring our systems are not just functional, intuitive and accessible, but also delightful to use.
• Document architectural decisions and system designs, creating clear, actionable resources that support ongoing development and knowledge sharing.
• Keep learning, experimenting, and sharing new insights with the team — because good architects are always evolving.
• Act as a technical liaison, communicating complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The Role Suits You Because
• Hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, ICT, Industrial Science/related field, or equivalent working experience.
• Have minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience. Experience in the IT/Security and Safety Industry is considered a big plus.
• Are fluent in Dutch and English (French is a bonus), enabling clear communication across teams and stakeholders.
• Have a strong technical foundation in C#, .NET, APIs/SDKs, and version control, with solid expertise in software design, security architecture, and performance optimization.
• Have sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a user-focused and business-aware approach to decision-making.
• Are proactive and adaptable, with a hands-on attitude, a drive for continuous learning, and the ability to work independently.
• Have a database and infrastructure fluency, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, relational databases, and networking protocols.
• Have a security-first mindset, with hands-on experience in authentication, authorization, and data encryption best practices.
• Are an excellent communicator and collaborator, thriving in cross-functional environments and contributing to a strong team culture.
What's In It For You
• A full-time, permanent contract.
• A varied and challenging role in the dynamic and ever-evolving technological market.
• A family-owned company with an international atmosphere where teamwork is key.
• Work for an established leader in PSIM software with over 30 years of experience.
• A culture that values autonomy, initiative, and innovation.
• Growth and development opportunities.
• Flexible working hours.
• 32 vacation days (on a full-time basis).
• A competitive salary package.
